Entryway Casework
Built from air dried and locally supplied red oak, this case was intended to serve as storage, a railing, as well as a visual separation from the stairs leading to the lower level upon entering the home. The solid wood top is just over 10’ long, and highlights imperfections in the material with use of purposefully placed plugs. Six inset doors line the front, sharing a single latch between each pair. The back of the case hangs over existing plaster to make the transition to the stairs more seamless.
